Poor Richard's Almanac

In 1732 the first edition of Poor Richard's Almanac was published.  The Almanac was a yearly book filled with varied facts and figures.   Benjamin Franklin wrote tons of mottoes, sayings and homespun truths, some of these were taken from Benjamin's wide experience of reading.  One of the many saying (this was known as a proverb) was: Early to Bed, Early to rise, Always makes a man healthy, Wealthy and Wise.  This almanac was a huge best seller, most years Poor Richard's Almanac sold 10,000 copies!!  (Can you believe that?)  This was a best seller in the colonies!!  This man named Benjamin Franklin was thought of as the worlds smartest man!
