Many
parrots in forest or woodland habitats live in pairs or small groups. Although,
in some more arid regions, parrots may travel in extremely large groups.
Some groups have been reported with over 1,000,000 birds. Most parrots
eat vegetables, seeds, or fruits but some species prefer insects or even
animal meat.Parrots usually nest in holes in trees and will only enlarge
the hole if neccassery. Only the hanging parrot, lovebird, and a few others
make nests.
