Axon: Noun (acks-on) These are long fibers extending from the brain cells neurons. They carry messages to other neurons.

Carbohydrates: Noun (car-bo-hidrates) A compound of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen produced by green plants. Sugars and starches are carbohydrates. Foods containing carbohydrates include most junk foods and bread, pasta, and rice.

Dendrite: Noun (den-drite) Dendrites are little tentacles that receive messages from other neurons.

Intelligences: Noun; Howard Gardner defines intelligence as the ability to solve problems or make products that others value.

Limbic System: Noun (lim-bic_sis-tem) The limbic system is a group of connected structures in the mid brain area that are responsible for emotions and memory.

Synapse: Noun (sin-apse) Synapses are the spaces between neurons. A synapse is the space between the axon of one neuron and the dendrites of other neurons.

Spatial Temporal Reasoning: Knowing how items fit in space and time.
