Alison, a
fifth grader, was born in Killeen, Texas in April,
1989. She is the oldest of three children, which include a brother,
9, and a sister, 3. When Alison was one and a half, her parents
moved to Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. In Wauwatosa, she is attending
elementary school. She joined a group called "Web Weavers",
and made this site with the other girls. This is her first web
site and she hopes you like it. If you do, she might decide to
make another. Alison is the author of 5 pages on this site; she
did the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, Stonehenge, The Temple
of Zeus and the Wisconsin Dells. Her group, when searching for
information, visited sites that were directed toward adults.
They decided to make a site that was more interesting for kids.
Alison has learned many things about computers in the process
of making this site. She has learned how to read something, then
write it in her own words. She has learned how to transfer something
from one program to another. Most important, though, she has
learned to have fun on a computer.
