The Roman Empire lasted for over 1000 years. The Romans built many wonders like Hadrian's wall in Northern Britain, and the Pantheon in Rome. They also built the Colosseum. In the Coliseum gladiators fought to the death. Sometimes the Romans would fill the Colosseum with water, and fight naval battles. Other times Christians would be thrown in to the Colosseum, and be eaten by lions. the Roman army was a highly organized fighting force. Rome faced good emperors like Marcus Aurelius, Hadrian, and Titus. Rome faced bad emperors to like Caligula and Nero.
