Kids in India studied math, science, engineering, literature, art, music, and religion. When children got older they lived at the school. School was tough and there was a lot to learn. You had no servants, you had to do everything yourself. You had to wash your clothes, cook your food, and take a long, tough, tiring school course. Even people of high rank such as a prince had to do everything for them self. In India a teacher is called a guru.
