Education
Inca children learned by imitating their parents. Stories that were told by their elders also helped them learn. Some education was given to sons of nobles and certain women. Sons of nobles went to school for four years in Cuzco and the chosen women were taught to make objects for religious ceremonies and also learned to weave. The Incan history, religion, and language were taught to the boys. They were also taught to keep records with the quipu and they practiced fighting. The boys' teachers were called amautas. Legends and poems recited from memory was another method of recording history.
