Sharks

We think it's cool how sharks have been around since prehistoric times.

Did you know that sharks have been around for millions and millions and millions of years (350 million), and still aren't extinct. In fact, they really haven't even changed much in all that time!

Something that really is cool is that they have four to seven rows of teeth and can grow more! Well, they do! I guess a loose tooth doesn't bother them at all!

Do you think sharks eat other sharks? If you're thinking no, you're wrong. Small sharks are a big meal for big sharks, some even eat their own kids! Sharks go on a feeding frenzy when the water is churned up, and eat anything in their way. Since sharks will eat anything, they are called "the garbagemen" of the sea.

The smallest adult shark can fit in the palm of your hand. Also there are only thirty types of  dangerous sharks!

Can you believe that sharks don't get cancer! Scientists are studying them trying to figure out why. Then maybe sharks can help people.
