Ashinca Tribe
The Ashincas eat mostly fish, friut, and yucal root.
Like most tribes, the Ashincas believed in spirits. They protected the wise, and punished anyone who dared to be greedy!
By the time the children were twelve, they could identify 20 kinds of bees! I'm already eleven and I can identify maybe 2 or 3! I'd better get busy! The 12 yr. olds can also cook and weave! I can cook, thankfully!
Masato
The women and children make the masato by chewing the manoic (a plant) and spitting it into pots. Then they mixed it with a purple die. The children would eat the masato fresh, but the adults would wait for it to ferment into wine.
