Kuna moon children, or albinos, are born with light skin, white hair, and pink eyes. 7 out of 1,000 women has a moon child. Tales tell that if a Kuna woman stares at the moon while she is pregnant, she will have a Moon Child. Kuna Moon Children are said to have special powers to save the village from an eclipse. Moon children are the most common in the Kuna people.
