Amazing Myths and Legend
creation of myths are what people think. Here are some of those thoughts. the Chinese,
Aztecs, and the Dogon people thought that their gods were hatched by a huge cosmic egg.
When the egg hatched the heavens and the earth separated and the gods gave birth to
people. that's how those cultures have people.
In legends or myths, There is
always a reason that there is a god or goddess. Gods are men and goddesses are
woman. There are moon gods and sun gods. so there is practically a god or
goddess for everything and every culture. Lets say there is a sea god named Neptune(Roman
god). If he is mad, he will make floods or sink ships. If he is happy, he will make the
water flat with no storms. So, if a god or goddess is mad, there will be a tragedy!
Heroes and tricksters play
an important roll in legends. Heroes are people that are brave have a special talent.
Heroes protect people, defeat their enemies. a Heroe may be a military leader. One of the
most famous heroes is Hercules. Hercules had to overcome twelve labors. Tricksters are
people that out smart their enemies. An example of a trickster is a person who might
be hidding under a animal's skin to kill his enemy.
Monsters are the creatures
that make mythology cool. Most monsters are bloodthirsty. some are nice. some used
to be a human being, but the gods were jealous and turn them into a monster. Some were
people who did something very wrong. Do you know who Medusa is? If you do, did you know
