     Mark Twain lived in Missouri.  He was a famous humorous fiction writer. Mark was from a poor family. Once he tried to go to South America.   He wanted to seek his fortune on a river boat. He was famous for a lot of works like The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.  That was a writing in the news paper and that is where people found out that he was very famous. He has a lot of fans these days. People today call him S.L. Clemens.  This was his pen name.
