Alejandra's Experience

Hello, my name is Alejandra . When I came to the United States I did not know any English. I felt very comfortable and I was not scared because the teacher (Mrs. Lyall) spoke Spanish. In addition there was a cousin of mine who also was in the same class that I was in. Until right now that I am in sixth grade; she continues being with me in the same class.

There are many differences in the education of México and United States. One of them is the reading of books; it is different here because the language is different. Here, at 8:15 a.m. we enter, and we leave at 2:30 p.m. In Mexico, we enter at 1:00 p.m. and we leave at 5:00 p.m.
