Step - by - step

Use these directions to make your very own fish paper sculpture!

Materials:
- paper, any kind except tissue, preferably watercolor
- scissors
- watercolor paint, and paintbrushes
- glue, preferably hot glue gun

1. Draw a simple fish outline.
Make sure it will be big enough to fit scales.
2. Cut out enough scale shapes to cover the body. Try to make them the same shape as the ones shown. Make the scales an appropriate size compared to the fish outline.
3. Curl the scales horizontally and vertically in order to give them shape.
4. Glue only the bottom tips of each scale to the main body of the fish, be sure to overlap as you go.
