1. Draw a simple fish outline.
Make sure it will be big enough
to fit scales. |

| 2. Cut out enough scale shapes
to cover the body. Try to make them the same shape as the ones shown. Make
the scales an appropriate size compared to the fish outline. |

| 3. Curl the scales horizontally
and vertically in order to give them shape. |
  |
| 4. Glue only the bottom tips of
each scale to the main body of the fish, be sure to overlap as you go. |

| 5. Now make the details of the
fish, including the eyes, by layering; the lips, using the curling technique;
the top and bottom fins; and air bubbles, using the layering technique. |
