The Case of the Mysterious Sounds

Beep, beep, beep, went my alarm.  It was only 7:00 in the morning! I rolled out of bed, got dressed, and went to school.  On the way, I heard a ton of strange and scary noises coming from an old mansion that was supposedly “haunted.”  I really wanted to go and investigate, but when I glanced at my watch, there were 10 minutes until school started.  Knowing that I would already be late, I continued on my way to school.

The day just wouldn’t go by fast enough! At lunch, I told my friends about it, and they agreed to come to the mansion with me after school.  Finally, the last bell rang and we were on our way to the mansion.  When we approached the street it was on, you could still hear the moans, groans, and different noises coming from the “haunted house.”
