Preparing a Hamster Home

For Your New One

Hamsters should be kept in a 24x12x12 inch box with pine shavings in the bottom. It should have a hard wood or metal box. Its home should be cleaned weekly and disinfected every three months. They should be kept in a warm temperature room about 70 degrees.  Always have treats with you for your hamster when he is good.  A must for all hamster homes is bed fluff for your hamsters bed.  All hamsters are nocturnal so they will sleep all day, and play at night.  Hamsters are nicknamed hammy.  A hamster is related to a mouse and is a rodent.
