Hamsters were first found in 1930. The female and children were the first ones found. Males were found later on. There are up to sixteen species of hamsters found in Europe and Asia.

Hamsterrific

The Golden Hamster can be twelve to fifteen centimeters long. The largest hamster is the common-black bellied kind that grows to be eight inches long with a five centimeters long tail.

 

Golden Hamsters

Golden Hamsters have golden color fur on top of its body and a grayish color below. It has a white line from its cheek to its shoulder. Golden Hamsters usually live less than two years.

Hamsters in General

Females can have up to eight babies at one time and will carry them about sixteen days. Hamsters can leave their mother at one-month-old. A full grown adult is five to six inches long, and ways ¼ lb. The gestation period is sixteen days. They are 4th on the shortest gestation period chart. Hamsters are the 6th laziest animal in the world, and they are seventh most popular pets.
