Ethiopia is a eastern part of Africa. It is 1,127,127 sq km or a little samller than 2 Texas. The countries that suronded it are Djibouti, Eritea, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan. 1,119,683 sq km of land. There is 7,444 of it is water. Ethiopia is not on the coast at all.

People

Ethiopia is a very diverse country. There are 9 ethnic groups. They are Oromo 40%, Amhara and Tigrean 32%, Sidamo 9%, Shankella and Somali 6%, Afar $%, Gurage 2%, other 1%. The religions are Muslim 40%-50%, Orthodox 35%-40%, animist 12%, other3%-8%. The Languages are Amharic, Tigrinya, Orominga, Guaraginga, Somila, Arabic, English. The Literacy rate is 35.5%. Over age 15 can read and write.

In Ethiopia they have a lot of diffrent industries. They are food processing, beverages, textiles, chemicals, metals processing, and cement. They produce many agriculture products. They are cereals, pulses, coffe, oilseed, sugercane, potatoes, hides, cattle, sheep, goats. The GDP is about $560.00.

The capital of Ethiopia is Addis Ababa. There are 9 states and charted cities. The two charted cities are Addis Ababa and Dire Dawn. The countries are Afar, Amhara, Benishangul-Gumaz, Gembela, Harari, Oromia, Somaliam, Southwestern Nations, Nationalities, Peoples, and Tingary.
