Here are some activities that you can do with a friend. This way you can have fun while you are learning. So just read these instructions. This recipe is for fun.
Fraction Card Game
Take out all of the cards with faces.
Deal each player 4 cards.
Use your cards to make the largest fraction possible. The player with the largest fractions gets all of the cards. If there is a tie each player gets their cards. No improper fractions allowed.
Play till you run out of cards and the player with the most cards wins.
You can also play to see if you can make the smallest fraction.
You can play to see who can make the biggest improper fraction.
You can also play to see who can make the smallest improper fraction.
Fraction Memory
Get your fraction flash cards ready and get ready to play memory. Pick 6 sets of two, equivalent cards and put them out in four columns with three in each. Example:
Allow your friends to look at your cards for a few seconds and turn them over. The first player flips over 2 cards. If they match as equivalent fractions the player goes again till they don't get any more matches. Then the next player goes and so on. The game continues until all the cards are gone. The player with the most cards wins. You can also play with more or less cards depending on your expertise.
