(Working Backword)
When you
have sovled a problem try the strategy working backwards. It works best after solving a
division problem. It's a way of making sure that you are right. First, you take the answer
you got and the divisor and multiply them together. Then add the remainder if there is
one. Then you will have the correct answer if you did your multiplication right.
EXAMPLE
43 divided by 7=6 remainder 1
Now you check by
multiplying. First take 7x6=42 and add the remainder.42+1=43. Now you know that you have
the right answer. Now, lets do another problem. 74 divided by 8=8 remainder 2. Now lets
check it. 8x8=64+8=72. Oh no, I'm wrong. Aren't you glad I checked it? This time I'm going
