Paradoxical Frogs
Paradoxical frogs live in the northern part of South America. As a tadpole they are ten inches long, but they shrink to a 1 1/2 inch froglet when they grow. tHEY live in the water. They ARE very slippery and this protects them by making them very hard to hold. The paradoxical frog can make coughing grunt sounds like a pig. They eat small invertebrates that live in the mud of shallow lakes. There isn't a lot of information on these frogs because they are hard to find.
