Mexican White-Lipped Frog

This frog is widely spread throughout South and Central America.  It grows to lengths of about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.  It is gray to chocolate brown with dark spots.    The upper lip is white.  These frogs mate in the spring during heavy rains.  The male frogs call to the females from grass clumps.  The eggs are housed in a bubbly nest.
