Weather Map

Weather Map Description

This is an example of the weather in the United States, on many days put together (follow the Tornado symbol from west to east - the weather causing the tornado moves to the east causing tornadoes several days in a row). The tornado symbol is where the high pressure and low pressure combine causing the tornado. Some types of weather which occur during a tornado include rain, hail, lightening and thunder. The eye of the tornado is the calmest part, it is sunny with barely a cloud in the sky.

The hurricane symbol is found around the eastern and western parts of the United States. When low air pressure forms over oceans, such as the Atlantic or Pacific, it can cause a hurricane to form. The hurricane is very destructive when it comes inland.  The hurricane has an eye, like the tornado, but the eye of the hurricane is the most destructive part of the storm.

In parts of Canada and the mountains of Arizona it is very cold, which means that there is snow there. Some people hate snow, but I like to play in it!! Thank goodness snow isn't one of our destructive weather systems!
