Nowadays, people think that astrology is just a superstition. " I, AstroMoe, personally believe that it is true." Of course, scientists claim it is totally unscientific. They say that the earth has changed position, or where it is, since ancient times. Because of this, the signs of the Zodiac don't match up with the actual stars they were named after. "Okay, okay! The scientists have changed my mind! Maybe the Zodiac is just superstition. Only maybe though... " Now, they people who still believe in the zodiac and astrology say it has to do with natural occurrences, like magnetic fields and solar storms. " Well, now that I think about it, there probably is astrology and zodiac!" Some people, who also believe in astrology, say it just doesn't have to do with scientific explanations. They claim that it is a very powerful human understanding. Also they point out that often, astrology turns out to be true; it matches up with the constellations.
"Oh, great! Now I really don't know what to think! Sometimes I think, yeah, astrology is true. It's not just superstition! But then again, scientists can prove that your horoscopes don't always match up with your stars. Well, I guess this is just something we'll have to think about. And maybe, someday in the future, we'll know for sure if it's true or not. Until then, what do you think? Do you believe in astrology?"
What is astrology?
Astrology is the study of the stars. You can supposedly foretell, or predict, what will happen in the future. Some people call it practical astronomy.
"I don't agree with that. If astronomy is astrology, then why do they have the same name? But hey, that's just my opinion! What do you think?"
They also say it's the prediction of eclipses and tides, and also of Easter.
"Wow! I never knew there was this much to astrology! On my planet, we of course studied the stars. We also had a system that was somewhat like this. When I first came to earth, I thought astrology was, you know, the study of stars. But now I know that it has a lot more than just a word!"
