They left it behind

We found it in the drawer

It was hidden under some dusty gloves

And a book of old folklore

It looked like a picture

Something from long ago

After wiping off the dust,

I saw some eyes, a nose

The girl in the picture

Seemed to smile at me

And somehow, our eyes met

We were connecting

The past and the future collided

There was no gap in between

It was then that I realized

That the girl in the picture was me!
