Welcome to our Thinkquest Junior site!

As you see, we Rattlers from Akimel A-al Middle School worked long and hard on this site because we wanted to make people more aware of how precious and important water is, especially for a growing community surrounded by desert. We invite you to start exploring our site by clicking on the buttons in the navigation bar over on the left. Please start with The Journey, an animated Flash movie which tells of the history of water in Arizona tracing our current water delivery system all way back to the Hohokam Indians. After that, take the quiz on the activities page to find out what you learned. Next, check out our tour of dams, lakes and rivers in Arizona as we learn exactly where our drinking water comes from. When you are done, you are going to want to find out about the Global Water Study we are participating in so you can find out how you and your school can participate next year. Finish up by checking out our activites page and find out how you can appreciate and help conserve water where you live. Have fun!
