Arabians have been used to do many things. In their earlier years they were used for war. The mares were used primarily to raid enemies and their villages. They have been used to develop breeds such as Andalusians, Lippizaners, English Thoroughbreds, and Trakeheners. Arabs are one of the finest breeds of race horses because they have great speed.They were the first race horses in the world. Arabians are often used in costume shows. They are also a very good working horse. They are also used for things such as racing, showing, pleasure riding, and they are also used on cattle ranches. Sometimes people play games with them like soccer on horseback or polo.Today there are more then 700 all-Arabian races in the world. Arabians are definitely affectionate animals. They love to be around humans.
