Basic Moves Many dances have basic moves, including ballet. They have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, along with many more such as a Jeté, which means "thrown" in French, a Fish Dive, a Cabriole, an Arabesque, a Pas De Deux, a Divertissement, which means diversion, a Port De Bras, and a Retiré. They also have arm and hand movements to correspond with the moves. |
