There are several angelfishes that can be found in Hawai'i's coral reef but the Bandit Angelfish (Holacanthus arcuatus) is found only in Hawai'i. They can be found at depths exceeding 10 meters where it feeds mainly on sponges. It reaches 17-18 cm. in length. It is called a bandit because it has a black band through the eye extending to tail and white ventically. It is found on reefs at depths from 40-43 feet. It is a carnivore which means it feeds on meat and mostly on sponges.
