Lampchop is a lucky female Hawaiian monk seal that was rescued by Sea Life Park. Lampchop was found by the National Marine Fishery Service(NMFS) and taken to Sea Life Park. NMFS was out studying the seals and saw that Lampchop was in very bad condition. They found that she was starving because she wasn't eating properly. NMFS performed surgery on her and found a lot of trash in her stomach. She had eaten debris that could not be digested. She became so stuffed with the rubbish in her stomach that she was unable to eat anything more and became very badly malnourished.Lampchop is doing great at Sea Life Park now.
