Sailboats
range from tiny dinghies, to large yachts that can cross an ocean.
Sailboats are classified by their size, and by the way their sails are
shaped. Most small sailboats are catboats or sloops. Larger boats (those able to
cross oceans) are yawls, ketches or schooners.
sides causes a force that pushes the boat forward.
This force makes it possible to sail a boat in almost any direction.
Sailing is a really fun sport if you’re careful and know what you’re
doing. Remember to always wear a lifejacket.
