What are the Grand Tetons? The Grand Teton is a park for hiking, swimming, wildlife, history and more. There is a lot to do in this National Park and many places and things to see. Grand Teton National Park is very interesting in its history, wildlife, plants and other things. It is good for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and swimming. There is something to do all year round The temperature can get as cold as 5 degrees and as high as 80 degrees. Grand Teton National Park is one of the best parks in Wyoming to visit .

The plants at the Tetons are very, very pretty. The plants such as Conifers, Douglas and Alpine fir are very pretty. There are other plants that are pretty too, such as the Aspen Willows. The Aspen Willows are a type of tree. A very sweet flower is common in the Tetons is the wildflower called the blue lupine. Another common tree is the Cotton Wood tree.

There are many beautiful animals at Grand Teton. There are many dams made by beavers. They have moose , the largest kind of deer. Some of the animals visitors might be lucky to see are bears, prong horn deer, and bald eagles . The largest animals in the park are the bison.

Grand Teton also has fun recreations and accommodations such as the visitor center and the museums . These are very fun family treats. For older kids, take a raft down Snake River or a breath taking mountain climb. Grand Teton also has canoe trips, wildlife watches, swimming and fishing. Accommodations include campgrounds, cabins, hotels and motels.

The weather at the Grand Teton is great . In spring the high is 48 degrees and the low is 24 degrees The summer's high is 80 degrees and the low is 42 degrees . In the fall the high is 56 degrees and the low is 42 degrees . In the winter the high is 26 degrees and the low is 5 degrees .

They have lots of highlights in the Teton Range. They have a lot of elk in the Teton Range. The Teton has the biggest herd of elk. Mountains, forests, lakes and streams include elk. The elk mostly live on mountains.

What is the park history like? Early settlers liked the park a lot because it encompassed so much in so little space. The early settlers risked the dangers of the rocky crags to trap the beavers. By the 1840's the beaver fashion was over. Most of the beavers were gone and most of the trappers were too. For many years the American Indians had the Tetons all to themselves, but then the other tribes came to hunt.
