Death of Sequoyah
During the Trail of Tears, other Indians, as well as most of the Cherokee, including Sequoyah, Ah-yoka, were forced north, away from their homes.  Sequoyah wanted to go to Mexico.  After a long wait, Sequoyah, Tessee (one of his long lost sons) and three of Tessee's friends went to Mexico in 1844.
