| Some of the homes were made of river cane that was woven. Other houses were made from mud and grass. The Cherokee used bark to cover their roofs. It was not as easy for the Cherokee and other Indians to build their homes as it is today, because they did not have the modern supplies to help them build their homes. Log houses were built about 200 years ago. These log homes had a smoke hole and a door. |
