The Rocky Mountain National Park

The Rocky Mountain National Park is a beautiful place to visit. Visitors have lots to do, a person can never be bored. The Rocky Mountains have wonderful, mysterious, and beautiful things. It has a different variety of wildlife. Visitors can learn a lot from the history, and the weather tells visitors when it's good to come up and ski , and a person can see its natural made things , and people see what a visitor can do from the highlights. People can go out to see the wild flowers and beautiful scenery. It is an exquisite place.

This park is famous for its beautiful big horned sheep. Mule, deer, and elk are more numerous. Other animals include black bears, cougars, bobcats, and coyotes. Smaller animals such as chipmunks, ground squirrels, and yellow bellied marmots can also be found there.

For recreation at Rocky Mountain Park in Colorado, there is cross country skiing, fishing, hiking on the trails, mountain climbing, and visiting museums.

There are many plants in the Rockies. Many of the plant life zones are, mountains, meadows, forested, slopes and tundra on top of timberline. On the slopes there are Douglas firs and nice smelling ponderosa pine. Blue spruce, willow, birch tree and alder grows in swampy areas along the sides of the stream. Wild flowers such as iris, black-eyed susans, and wild roses grow on the sides of mountains.

The following are a few of the highlights of the Rocky Mountain Park in Colorado. There is a plant called the ponderosa pine and its bark has a delicious vanilla scent. There are 355 miles of trail systems. They have Trail Ridge Road, the nation's highest highway. They also have scenic drives, and a lake called Dream Lake.
