What
did they wear?
Colonial
women wore dresses often dyed red with berries that they would
gather from the woods. Babies wore clothes called puddings which
were dresses with a puffy padded skirt that protected them when
they fell. Up until the boys were 4 years old, they wore dresses
just like the girls. After that, they started dressing like their
fathers. Girls continued to dress like their mothers.
