Wearable Technology

Of all things that we have for the future this subject is the most interesting. 

One thing that we have is is the watch that lets you communicate with other people. You can talk to the watch or hold it like a regular phone. Motorola is the company that made the watch/phone.

In the year 2003 there will be video jewelry.  A girl will never have to carry a video camera again.  All they have to do is get their video bracelet, video necklace or  video ring, and wear it when they want to have a video of their friends or activities.  

In the year 2005 there will be Polymer video screens built into your clothes.  You could look down at your shirt and press a button and the video would come up.  Hopefully, no one at school decides he/she want to watch a video.  

In the year 2005 there will be jewelry that will be able to change shape and color.  So, if you want a different colored ring every month all you will have to do is buy the special ring.  A different twist on the mood ring!

In the year 2005, there will be a folding watch, which is also a computer.  If you had work to do, anywhere, anytime, you would be able to do it.  It would be like a laptop, just smaller. It would fit on you hand and like a watch and tell time.  What will happen when voice recognition  is improved? 

Another interesting thing that we have is a shoe that can tell if you are walking, resting or running.  The shoe is call the Raven.  First, you put the shoe on and the computer part of the shoe is turns on.  The shoe has two modes.  When you are running, the air bladder stiffens to provide more support.  When you are walking or resting the air bladder deflates making the shoe feel softer.  The Raven can changes modes within two seconds.  The light on the Raven's soles helps to tell which mode it is in.  When the light is on, it is in the running mode.  When you take the shoe off, the computer part shuts off.  Vectrasense is the company that makes the Raven.

There is also a computer that is part of a belt you wear around your waist. 

All these inventions are cool, but don't you think that these things are a little strange and maybe even scary?
