The new Honda Insight   is the first  combination
electric and gasoline powered car. It is environmentally safe, it is convenient, and it comes in different colors.  Honda is developing products that  customers want,  while they are helping society clean the air and get  better fuel efficiency.  Recently, when the Insight came out it was one of the most fuel- efficient gasoline powered cars in the world.  Not only was it the world's most fuel efficient gasoline powered car, but it was also California's Ultra -Low Emission Vehicle.  Emission is something that comes out of a car that is not good for the environment.  Below are pictures of different colored Insights.

In the year 2004 there will be cars that are powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Hydrogen is a gas that is like oxygen. In the year 2005 there will be panels on the back of car seats so you can watch TV or use the computer, even the Internet, while going to the grocery store or on vacation.   In the year 2008 cars will have automatic steering.  In the year 2010 every car will have a cellular communication system that dials 911 automatically in accidents.   In the year 2015 there will be cars that drive by themselves a few feet away from each other on smart highways.  In the year 2020 you will need to reserve time slots to use some of the main roads.

Water Transportation

This year (2000) there is going to be a water-jet-propelled cargo ship that will cross the Atlantic in 4 days.  In the year 2005 there will be ships that are totally automatic that will be able to navigate and dock all by themselves.

Air Transportation

The flying car is an amazing invention.  First we had the car, then we got the plane and now we have the car and the plane combined.  The car/plane is called the Airphibian.  Robert Edicson Fulton, Jr. was the man who owned the Airphibian.  The Airphibian was practically abandoned after it had flown thousands of miles in the 1940's and 1950's.  Now it is gong to come out and be seen by the public once again.  In late 2002 the Airphibian will go to the Museuam of Transportation and Industry in Cleveland.  Ed Pesrshe (the task force director for the museum said that the Airphibian will be a key aritifact. He also wishes that the Airphibian would make a dramatic comeback at the annual Cleveland Air Show.  The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is holding a second Airphibian in storage.  You will be able to see it in the year 2003 near the Dulles airport in Virginia.
