Mississippi State Flag

Mississippi's most recent state flag was made in 1894.

Mississippi has had two different kinds of flags. The first flag was the Magnolia Tree flag. The second one added the Confederate Battle Jack to the old design. Even though the recent Mississippi State Flag has a Confederate Battle Jack on it, there is no controversy about the flag. The reason why I am saying this is that Georgia has a Confederate Battle Jack on it and it's stirring up so much controversy . At this point, no one in Mississippi or any where else for that matter is complaining about the Mississippi State Flag.
