The opinion of Jim Hodges: "I support a compromise to move the Confederate flag for a monument on the State House grounds. That is how I voted as a member of the state House of Representatives and it has been my consistent position since. This is a time to talk in reasoned terms about reaching common ground. That is what I am working to do as I meet with the legislative, community and business leaders in our state. We should all keep in mind the important goal of finding a resolution which respects the feelings of those on both sides."
