Inclined Plane

by Colin

An inclined plane is a simple machine that makes it easier to move a heavy object to a higher elevation. It reduces the amount of force needed to lift the object. A screw is an inclined plane wrapped around a cylinder. An inclined plane is also a wedge cut in half. The Egyptians used inclined planes to build the pyramids.
