Feminist - an advocate of the idea that women should have political, economic, and social rights equal to men
 
Indigent - poor; destitute

Quaker - a member of the Religious Group of "Friends" (Susan B. Anthony was one of them)
 
Radical - to go against the crowd
 
Suffragist - a person who supports the women's right to vote
 
Underground Railroad - A network of abolitionists who helped slaves escape to freedom in Canada, where slavery was illegal.
