Our Miramar High School Mentors

We learned a lot about Coral reefs and the environmentfrom the mentors at Miramar High School. We rode the bus to the high school and met all the kids who would be mentoring us. They had built a huge coral reef that was 3-D and looked just like you were under the sea. It had every kind of marine life in it. You can go to their web page to see what they taught us.

After that we all got on the bus and headed for the International Game Fish Association. It is a huge museum all about fishing and the environment. We played computers, caught fish in a virtual fishing trip and saw models of 1,000's of kinds of fish. We all said it was the best field trip we ever went on. We already know how it feels to be a mentor, now we know how great it feels to be a mentee.
