The World Trade Center in New York City is taller. The Trade Center is 1,368 feet tall. The Trade Center was 118 feet taller than the Empire State Building. The Sears Tower is the tallest building known today. They finished building the Empire State Building in 1931-32. It ended the era of Art Deco skyscrapers.
