Abraham Lincoln was a very funny man. He liked to tell funny jokes and story’s and give a good laugh even when times were sad like during the American Civil war.

Many southern leaders wanted to break away from the Union if Abraham Lincoln won the election of president. Because the citizens of the southern states believed they had the right to withdraw from the Union Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for the person who had to run our country during the civil war? Well Abraham Lincoln was the one who pulled it off.

On March 4,1861 one month before the civil war started he became president for his first term as president. on March 4,1865 he became president for his second term. Lincoln was president for one 4-year term and 44 days before he was killed.

Abraham Lincoln’s Accomplishments

During Abraham Lincoln's life I am sure he has saw and done many wonderful things, some of those wonderful things were, on November 16,1863 Abe delivered the famous speech the Gettysburg Address. Also in his existing life he served as commander and chief of the union army of the American Civil War from 1861-1865. Abe was completely against slavery, and fought only to preserve the union.

The Death and Burial of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln lived a happy life. And when his life had to come to a sad end it was April 16,1865 10 seconds after 7:22 A.M. just seven days after the American Civil War ended it was a sad time for Americans. Soon after on May 4, 1865 he was buried in Springfield Illinois.
