Have you ever wanted to take a trip to Egypt to see the Great Pyramids or the Egyptian Sphinx? Have you ever wanted to learn a foreign language or wanted to read some ancient form of hieroglyphics? Have you ever wanted to be a famous king? Have you ever wanted to learn someone else’s religious beliefs? Have you ever wanted to live in a desert or by a giant river? If you have then you’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to our Ancient Egypt Website! We may have more than you ever wanted to know about Ancient Egypt. So please enjoy the Ancient Egyptian ways.

Gods and Goddesses

Imagine worshipping something that swallows the sun everyday at dusk and at dawn gives birth to it? Well, an Ancient Egyptian goddess does that. Imagine having four children that married each other! The Ancient Egyptian god and goddess Geb and Nut went through that.

Imagine not being able to worship your own god? Ancient Egyptians, except for the pharaoh and the priests, were not allowed to go into the temples to worship the major gods but were able to worship minor gods in their own homes. To find out more interesting facts about gods and goddesses visit our gods and goddesses section.

Pharaohs

Imagine being called half-man, half-god? All Ancient Egyptians called pharaohs of Ancient Egypt half-gods.

Imagine being ruler of a country when you were in the 3rd grade? That would mean you would only be nine years old. One ruler became pharaoh of Ancient Egypt at that age. So you know where to go to find interesting information on pharaohs.

Hieroglyphics

Hieroglyphics may have been the first form of writing ever! Hieroglyphics were very hard to learn for the Ancient Egyptians. To learn to write the English alphabet in hieroglyphics and to learn more about hieroglyphics, go to our hieroglyphics section.

Life in Ancient Egypt

Imagine living like an Ancient Egyptian? Instead of having a digital clock you would have to use a clock that is run by water. Instead of playing video games you would have to play simple Egyptian games like leapfrog. To find out more about living like an Egyptian visit our life section.

Kingdoms

What are kingdoms and why was Ancient Egyptian history cut up into three parts? Find out interesting histories about each kingdom in our kingdoms section.

Structures

Imagine how big 90 pyramids would be all together? Well, more than 90 pyramids in Egypt are on the west bank of the Nile River. They did this for a religious reason: the sun sets on the West Bank of the Nile River. To learn more about Ancient Egyptian structures go to the structures section.

Death

Imagine when you died someone pulling out your heart, replacing it with a stone beetle, and then feeding your chopped up heart to the cat? Or even picking your nose with a hook to pull out your brain. This is what happened to some Ancient Egyptian bodies. To learn more about death in Ancient Egypt visit our death section.
