Procedure:

Materials Needed: |
| plastic plate (we used cafeteria plates) |
| newspaper, masking tape |
| earth clay cone 05 |
| rolling pin |
| clay tools, cutting utensils |
| blue, white and black paint, paint brushes |
| high gloss medium |
Procedure: |
| 1. wrap newspaper around plate, tape it |
| 2. roll out clay slab at least 1/8 of an
inch thick

| 3. cut the edge any way you want
|
| 4. press the clay against the inside of the plate until it fits |
| 5. let the clay dry, remove it from the plate and put it in the kiln |
| 6. let it cool then draw a story picture on it with a pencil |
| 7. paint over lines with different tints
and shades of blue
|
| 8. after paint is dry paint gloss over top of the plate |
