Procedure:

Materials Needed: |
| paper plate |
| egg cartons for eyes, plastic cup for mouth |
| newspaper |
| paper mache paste (we used bought paste, but you can make paste with 1/2 cup flour and 3/4 cup water) |
| tempera paints |
| optional- elastic band for back of mask |
Procedure: |
| 1. tape egg cartons and cup to paper plate
as desired
|
| 2. twist newspaper for horns and tape it
on- wrap the newspaper on the horns with tape
|
| 3. dip newspaper strips in paper mache, slide your fingers down the wet newspaper strip to remove the excess paper mache (so it is not too wet) |
| 4. lay newspaper strips over the mask
(cover it)
|
| 5. let mask dry completely |
| 6. paint as desired |
| 7. optional- add feathers, beads or other decorative materials |
