This annual event
features 800 riders p itting themselves against le Touquet beachfront.
Inthe 1997 race
only 100 riders completed the course .
beach racing is
the offshoot of motocross ,a poupular off-road motorcycle sport.
The most prestigious
international motocross competition in the motocross des natoins,
where the world's best riders represent thier countries in a two day race.
This annual world
cup is held in a different country each year and regularly includes riders
representing more than 30 countries. Each country enters three riders ,one
in ech class-a 125cc a 250cc,and a open class- racer.
