Hypothesis: I did this experiment to find out what would happen to teeth put in different liquids over a period of time.
Controls: I got four third molars (wisdom teeth) from the same person that were removed at the same time. I used the same sized cups and the same amount of liquid in each cup.
Variable: I used four different liquids: Coke, water, apple juice, and pure lemon juice.
Materials : four molar teeth , Coke, Water, Apple juice, Lemon juice, a measuring cup, four regular cups.
1. Label the cups Coke, Water, Apple juice, and Lemon juice.
2. Measure 8 ounces of each liquid.
3. Fill each cup with 8 ounces of what it said on the cup.
4. Then put one tooth in each cup.
5. Change the liquid in each cup every week.
6. Keep the teeth in for about 2 months.
